A touch of water coloring.

Today I used the Zig Clean Color Real brush markers to do a bit of water coloring on my card. I am enjoying these markers because they are super easy to use and the colors are so vibrant.
I stamped my image in Memento Ink first so it wouldn't smear when I colored it in! My flower and sentiment is from WPlus 9 Doddle Bugs stamp set.

I hope you will give water coloring a try on your next project!

Happy Stamping!

Thank You Card

Hi Everyone! I have a clean and simple card for you today using a few pieces of pattern paper.
I started by cutting two strips of pattern
paper and inking the edges with some distress inks to give a bit of a vintage look.
I then stamped my cup and saucer and die cut them out and did a bit of paper piecing on my tea cup. I really love how it brought it to life! I popped the tea cup up on a piece of doily that had also been inked. I wanted it to look like it was sitting on a table cloth.
I colored the inside of the tea cup with copics and added a touch of glitter to it. I also inked the entire card and edges and then stamped my sentiment with the same distress ink tea dye.

I really love the vintage feel and the simplicity of this card. Thanks for stopping by!

Miss You Fish Tank Card

Today I made the cutest "Missing You" card with the Lawn Fawn "Fintastic Friends" stamp set and coordinating dies.

I started off by stamping the tank image on the stitched banner and coloring it in with copics. I then stamped the fish and the plant and also colored those with copics. I used the dies to cut these two images out to give a little more dimension to my card.
I stamped my sentiment from the Paper Smooches "Scripty Sayings" and adhered it to the stitched rectangles that are layered on my card front.

To add a little more sparkle I used the Wink of Stella glitter pen, a bit of glossy accents on the bubbles and of course some Pretty Pink Posh sequins! I think this card is simple but so cute.

Thanks for dropping in today and Happy Stamping!

Supplies:

Copics
Ink- Memento, Hero Arts
Stamps- Lawn Fawn, Paper Smooches

Thank you card - using Fresh Cut Wreaths-WPlus9

Hey everyone! Today I made a Thank you card with one of my favorite WPlus9 stamp sets "Fresh Cut Wreaths". I love that this stamp set has different wreaths and flowers to layer. You can stamp all the same color or mix them up. I die cut my pattern paper and my white panel using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle dies.

For my flowers I decided to use Simon Says Stamp coral reef ink to coordinate with my pattern paper.
I stamped my sentiment on a banner from WPlus9 "Basic Banners" stamp set and used the die from the set to cut it out. This banner fits perfect across the wreath!

For my final touch I added a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins. Who doesn't love a little sparkle, right!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

Masculine Card / Loads of Love

Today I have an adorable card for that special man in your life! Masculine cards are sometimes hard to dream up but this cute truck from Hero Arts made the cut!

I stamped the truck with memento ink and then masked it off so I could ink my background piece. I used distress inks to make a blue sky and then cut my green card stock to look like a grassy hill.
The one big heart in the back of the truck made me want to add more hearts, so I die cute a few more
out of different patterned papers and added them to the background. Some are inlaid and some are
popped up. To finish the card of I stamped the Loads of Love for sentiment and die cut the word YOU from the Avery Elle die. I love how this card turned out.

I hope you have a great day and have been inspired to make some masculine cards. Happy Stamping.

Hugs :)

Shaker Card using Fintastic Friends

Today I am using this cute fish tank image from Lawn Fawn's "Fintastic Friends" stamp and die set to make a shaker card.
I stamped the tank with memento ink and colored in the sand and water with copics. Then I stamped all the plants, fish and castle. After coloring all the images I die cut them with the coordinating dies!
I cut a frame using the stitched rectangle die from SSS and then cut the tank out of the center. This was my window for my shaker card.

The card was embossed with a chicken wire embossing folder. I left about an inch of the bottom of the card out of the embossing folder so I could stamp my sentiment. I really like the way the thin blue strip of card stock tied in the blue from the tank.
Here is a close up of all the shaker bits I used. I have some PPP sequins and gold flakes from PTI Make It Market Kit "Shakers & Sprinkles".

I love the way this turned out! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to try your own shaker card.  Happy stamping!

Love You A Latte Card featuring Lawn Fawn

Today a have a card featuring the Love You A Latte stamp set and dies from Lawn Fawn! I couldn't resist this set when I saw it. The images are so cute along with the sentiments that look like steam coming from the cup of joe! How fun right!
I started by embossing my card base with this really cute heart embossing folder on craft card stock.
Next I used two different sizes of tag dies and cut the larger one from a piece of patterned paper and a smaller one from craft card stock and adhered them together. I added some fun foam on the back and added to the front of my card for a bit of dimension!

I stamped the coffee cup with memento ink and colored it in with some copic markers. I then used the coordinating die to cut the image out and popped it up on the tag. The sentiment was heat embossed using white embossing powder which made it pop off of the craft card stock.

For my final touches I stamped a few coffe beans and added enamel dots. I absolutely love this stamp set and will be using it a lot!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

Card for Dad -Paper Smooches "My Guy"

With Fathers Day around the corner I decided to make my Dad a card.  I love the little red sports car from the Paper Smooches "My Guy" stamp set. What Dad wouldn't love this card, right.
I thought it would be neat to use this chevron stamp to make a background that looked like tire prints. I used crumb cake card stock and baked brown sugar ink from Stampin' Up!

I cut a piece of striped patterned paper and a black frame using the stitched circle dies and adhered to the center of my card. I the colored my car image using copics and popped it up on top of my circle. My sentiment is also from the "My Guy" stamp set.

I love how these stamps and sentiments are perfect for masculine cards!

Hope you liked it and thanks for stopping by. Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday Card for Guys

Today I made a fun masculine birthday card using some fun images from the Avery Elle "We Go Together" stamp set.
I stamped the images using Memento ink so I could color them with copics. I stamped them and the greeting on a stitched circle die from SSS. I love these dies!
I layered a polka dotted piece of DSP on top of the black card stock and added a strip of red card stock for a pop of color.

My sentiment is from two different stamp sets, Birthday Ballons from SSS and Simply Said You from Avery Elle. I love to mix up stamps for my sentiments.

I hope you like my card today and that you are inspired to make more masculine cards! Thanks for visiting and Happy Stamping.

Hey There Card - Chubby Chums

Today I am using this cute cat image from  the Paper Smooches "Chubby Chums" stamp set. After I stamped it using Memento Ink I colored him using some copic markers. This stamp set also comes with the coordinating dies which makes it super easy to cut out!
I then die cut a stitched circle to stamp my sentiment on and attached the cat to the circle. My sentiment is also from a Paper Smooches stamp set called Sentiment Sampler. This set is an awesome one to have because it has about fifteen different sentiments in it. I also love the different fonts used in it.

My card is a top folding A2 size and I layered a solid piece of card stock and a designer piece from a 12x12 paper pack from DCWV. I cut both of these with the stitched rectangle dies from SSS.

To finish my card off I added some enamel dots scattered around that coordinated with my DS paper. I love how bright and cheery it turned out.

Thanks for dropping by and Happy Stamping!😊

Today I got a new stamp set from Avery Elle that I couldn't wait to use. Its called We Go Together and it has some cute images and sayings in it. I stamped the martini glass and the olive from the set and colored them in with some copics.

I die cut the circle and the frame using Simon Says Stamps circle stitched dies in basic white and old olive card stock.

I popped up the circle in the center for a little dimension and added some sequins and wink of Stella to my martini! I think this is so cute! Sorry you can't see the sparkle in this picture.

Mixed Sentiments

I love to mix up my sentiments by using stamps and word dies. This card was super simple to make and you could change the stamped portion of the sentiment to use for so many different occasions.

This is a great CAS card that could be easily mass produced. I used this adorable patterned paper from a 6x6 Heidi Grace pad called "Sunshowers".  How cute is this paper!!

Then I die cut half of a circle out to make a little spot for my sun to go. The sun die is from the Lawn Fawn "Bright and Sunny" stamps and die set. I thought it went perfect with the patterned paper. I also die cut my You sentiment and added it above the stamped sentiment. Both the you die and the stamped sentiment are from the Avery Elle "Simply Said You" set. I think this is a great way to get more from you dies and stamps. Sometimes its good to mix things up, right?

I challenge you to try mixing up your word dies and your stamps for some fun sentiments.

Happy Crafting :)

Thinking of You Card with Distress Inks

Oh how I love using distress inks for my backgrounds! The blending is always so smooth and beautiful. I wanted this card to look like a sunrise.

I stamped these little birds from the Lawn Fawns "Hello Sunshine" stamp set in memento tuxedo black ink so I could color them with my copics. I think they turned out really cute.  I masked off my birds and inked up my background and then I stamped my greeting.

The greeting is from the Simon Says Dies and Stamps "From Me To You". I love this set, it is two stamps set full of greetings and two word dies that coordinate. I mounted my image on black cardstock for a nice pop!

I hope your inspired to try out distress inks on your next background. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Crafting :)

CAS Card for Case this sketch #107

Today I wanted to share with you a card that I made for the CAS(E) this sketch! challenge. I love that it is a CAS layout. I have always struggled with white space on my cards but I am learning to love the look  now. These make wonderful cards to mass produce. You could easily change the sentiement and the hearts for any occasion.

Here's a close up so you can see the detail that the crystal effects gave the hearts!

Below you can see the sketch that I used to create my card.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting! :)

Valentines Note card

I am loving little note cards lately. They are so quick and easy to make and small enough to stick in my kids lunchbox or my husbands planner. I made this one to stick in my daughters lunch on Valentines day.

I think this stamp is so stinking cute. It is actually a wood mount stamp that I found at my local craft store and I had to have it.  I colored the pig with copics and added some sparkle to his wings and trunks with a Wink of Stella glitter pen. The background was also a stamp I found that same day and knew it would be perfect together.

I stamped the background stamp with versa mark ink and cleared embossed it. To finish it of I added a few clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Who doesn't love a cute Cupig?  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to make little note cards for someone special in your life.

Happy Crafting! :)

Back to Blogging!

Hi everyone. It has been a year since I have posted anything on this blog site. I decided last January to try out having my own website to post my crafting projects on and to sell Stampin' Up! After finishing out the year I have decided to step down from the Stampin' Up! career and just have my blog. I absolutely love my time crafting, it is my happy place, but I have a son in the 10th grade and a daughter in Kindergarten and trying balance family, my full time job as a bookkeeper and Stampin' Up! was a bit much.

My kindergartener is 5 years old and one of the youngest in her class. She has had a bit of a challenge learning all the sight words and keeping up. As a parent, we are the ones that go the extra mile to help them feel confident and give them the gentle push right? So, I am devoting more time to her, encouraging and working with her on her school work. I am pleased at the progress she has made since Christmas!

My son just turned 16 but NO car yet. We are not in a big hurry for him to be driving on his own! He will be eligible to take the drivers test this Spring so we may start looking at cars this summer. He plays the snare drum in the marching band and also takes private drum lessons weekly so he keeps me busy!

I am looking forward to this new year and seeing what God has in store for me and for our family.

I'm excited to start my blogging back up and have a place to share my crafting inspiration. I hope you will check in again soon and be inspired!

HUGS..
